| COMPOSITE
BOARDS PRIVATE LIMITED was incorporated on 6th of July, 1988 with
a vision to achieve uncompromising quality in all the endeavors
that it undertook and to make the end product available to the
consumers at a competitive price.
This vision stems from the fact that at COMPOSITE,
the consumers are considered the very essence of the organization.
COMPOSITE
started with the manufacturing of world class plywood of all grades
confirming to the Indian Standard 303:89. Our plywood is made
out of 100% imported hardwood namely Keruing (Gurjan). Our wood
comes from well renowned markets such as Malaysia, Myanmar and
Indonesia.
Once
the production was streamlined, COMPOSITE was registered with
The National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC),
Directorate General of Supplies & Disposals (DGS&D),
Association of State Road Transport Undertakings (ASRTU),
Research Designs and Standards Organization (RDSO),
Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS)
and Indian Defence. Thereafter, we at COMPOSITE started supplying
to the production and maintenance units of Indian Railways, Defence
and State Transport Undertakings.
Just recently, the company has been awarded the prestigious ISO
9001 certification by Det Norske Veritas, Norway.
Composite
Boards Private Limited is currently managed by a set of high calibre,
dynamic and experienced professionals who have risen to prominence
through grass root level experience.
The
functions of our workers and professionals are highly decentralized
yet directed toward one common organizational goal, which is providing
unparalleled quality to the consumers as they deserve nothing
less. The aforementioned functions can be broadly divided into:
DIVERSIFICATION
:
COMPOSITE started manufacturing highly Densified Wood Laminates
under the guidance of its R & D professionals. R &D in
turn is equipped with a state of the art lab and a pilot press.
However, with increasing emphasis on conservation of natural forestry
around the world, the sources of timber are rapidly shrinking.
Owing to inadequate forest area, the Government of India has imposed
a ban on the felling of trees in the interest of the dwindling
natural resource.
The ultimate aim of the organization is to completely diversify
toward products based on agro waste like Jute felt, Hessian cloth
and Coir. The use of these natural fibers will completely eliminate
the use of any wood and a total avoidance of forest produce can
cause a tremendously positive impact on conservation of trees
and will help preserve natural forests. Jute, Coir and Hessian,
apart from being bio friendly, are a perennial source of raw materials;
hence the future market for boards will move towards those made
from these materials in place of the timber produced boards.
Despite the 14 year journey, we realize that this is just the
beginning……the beginning of a brilliant future. Having
consolidated our position, we are determined that in the future
years our organization shall reach great heights displaying exemplary
progress. Yet, we have miles to go.
